Assistance CONTACT US: HOW TO ORDER: Use our Recommended Frame Finder to view eyeglasses that are recommended or read more on how to pick a frame. Once you have found the frame you like you just have to enter your prescription, add frame options and place your order. Once we receive your order, in most cases, you will receive your glasses within 14 days. ORDER STATUS: Sign in to your account to view the order status. YOUR PRESCRIPTION: Filling out the prescription boxes is straightforward. OD means right eye and OS means left eye. These are just the abbreviations for the Latin “oculus dexter” (right) and “oculus sinister” (left). The Spherical correction is for near or farsightedness, while the cylindrical and axis is for astigmatism. The Add part is mostly for the over 40 group and is for bifocal reading (near correction). SHIPPING COSTS AND DELIVERY TIMEFRAME: Shipment is via USPS First Class Mail with tracking # and delivery confirmation for domestic US Shipping. DELIVERY GUARANTEE: We will refund the full price of your glasses if we miss our 2 weeks delivery commitment. (And you get to keep your new eyeglasses.) SELECTING A FRAME: LENS & LENS MATERIALS: Polycarbonate Lenses – are the most impact-resistant material of choice. Hi-Index Lenses - are our lens of choice for those with over ± 2.00 correction. They are our thinnest and lightest lenses. If you've never had Hi-Index lenses before, you'll be surprised how thin and light your eyeglass lenses can be! PRESCRIPTION AND LENS TYPE: Bi-Focals - Bi-Focals have that light line just below the centerline of the lens that separate the distance upper part from the reading lower part of the lens. Progressive - Progressive (no-line bi-focal) lenses need to have an absolute minimum of 30mm height, but here again we recommend at least 34mm or higher lens for a more comfortable viewing area. TRANSITIONS: Driving: Windshields in today’s vehicles block most of the UV rays that cause Transitions® Lenses to activate, or darken. As a result, when worn inside a car where less UV light is present, the ability of the lenses to darken is reduced. You may rather need a pair of polarized prescription sunglasses for driving. POLARIZED: COATINGS: UV40 Coating - Just as we use sunscreen to keep the sun's UV rays from harming our skin, UV treatment in eyeglass lenses blocks those same rays from damaging our eyes. Scratch Resistant Coating - No eyeglass lens material — not even glass — is scratch-proof. However, a lens that is treated front and back with a clear, hard coating does become more resistant to scratching, whether it's from dropping your glasses on the floor or occasionally cleaning them with a paper towel. LENS TINT CHOICES Dark Tint - A Dark Tint is a dark sunglass tint for bright outdoor conditions. Medium Tint - The Medium Tint is a medium light sunglass tint that is not too dark to make it unusable indoors, while giving some medium/light sunshade protection outdoors. Light Tint - A Light Tint is a very light cosmetic/fashion tint barely noticeable to the wearer, but giving a slight hint of color to people looking at you.. All of our eyeglass lenses, tinted or clear, have full 100% UV protection built in to protect the eyes from harmful sunrays.
